Positions in our network are limited. Depending on the size of the local market, a yearly defined number of positions will be opened. Every country will have at least two positions. Every 3.000, or a fraction more than 1500, of trademark applications filed by non-residents opens an additional position. For example, a country like India, with 29,899 applications, has 12 positions. A smaller country like Ecuador, with 7440 filings, will only have four positions. Slovenia, which has just 808 filings, will have two positions. The number of positions will vary according to the latest available WIPO statistics.
We do it at two different times. First, your firm must comply with our entry requirements before entering.
Second, on an ongoing yearly basis, we review the number of positions, the waiting list, and the performance of our KPI. Underperforming members will not renovate their position.
To become part of our record, you or your organization needs to comply with the following requirements:
You should be admitted to practice trademark law in your country as established by local regulations.
You should not have any criminal or disciplinary records.
You must have at least 10 years of experience in trademark law and practice.
You must show evidence that you have filed at least 50 trademark applications a year in the past three years.
A member of our network can lose its position for underperforming. This can happen in cases of malpractice, poor reviews, poor response time or when reciprocity levels are lower than those of the rest of the members.
In any moment, you can leave Brandiana without paying or getting reimbursed.
Clients evaluate lawyers based on five key areas:
Expertise & Legal Knowledge: "Did the attorney demonstrate deep understanding of your case’s legal and jurisdictional nuances?"
Communication & Responsiveness: "Were they clear, prompt, and proactive in updates?"
Efficiency & Deadline Management: "Did they meet agreed timelines for filings or actions?"
Professionalism & Collaboration: "Were they respectful, organized, and easy to work with?"
Results & Value: "Were the outcomes worth the investment?"
Each is rated on a 5-star scale (1 = "Needs improvement," 5 = "Exceptional").
It is possible to become an exclusive member if you buy all the positions available for that particular country.
